Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information
Mingmingcodes is an independently operated website and newsletter run by Chris ("I", "me", or "Mingmingcodes"). For questions about this policy or requests concerning your personal information, contact mingmingcodes@gmail.com.
2. Information I collect
- The email address you submit through the newsletter sign-up form.
- Subscription records, including the date and source of the sign-up, consent status, unsubscribe status, bounces, and spam complaints.
- Email delivery and engagement information, such as deliveries, opens, and link clicks. These measurements may be affected by mailbox privacy features and automated security scans.
- Technical information generated when you visit the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, page paths, approximate region, security signals, and server logs.
- Anti-abuse information generated by the newsletter CAPTCHA, such as browser, device, network, and challenge-result signals.
3. How I use your information
- To manage your subscription and send the welcome email and occasional newsletter updates you requested.
- To share content about Growth Engineering, SEO/GEO, web development, automation, AI, and related growth topics.
- To process unsubscribes, delivery failures, complaints, preference changes, and privacy requests.
- To protect the website and forms from bots, fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- To understand website and email performance and improve content and user experience.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce legitimate security and operational requirements.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, I rely on your consent to send newsletter emails. I may rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, maintain email deliverability, and understand aggregated service performance, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. I may also process information when necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
5. Newsletter consent and unsubscribe
The newsletter uses a simple-confirmation, or single-opt-in, process. You must actively select the consent checkbox before submitting the form. Once the form and security check are successfully submitted, the subscription becomes active and a welcome email may be sent; no additional confirmation link is required.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting me. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
6. Service providers and international transfers
I use service providers to operate the website and newsletter. Depending on how you use the site, these providers may process limited personal or technical information on my behalf:
- Brevo provides newsletter forms, contact management, email delivery, unsubscribe handling, and suppression of bounces and complaints.
- Cloudflare provides Turnstile CAPTCHA and anti-abuse protection for the subscription form.
- Vercel provides website hosting, delivery infrastructure, and operational logs.
- Sanity provides content-management and content-delivery infrastructure for the blog.
- PostHog provides product analytics and, where enabled, privacy-configured session replay.
- Google Tag Manager helps manage website measurement and analytics tags.
These providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, international transfers are handled using safeguards made available by the relevant provider, such as contractual, technical, and organisational measures.
7. Analytics, cookies, and session replay
The website may use Google Tag Manager and PostHog to understand page and feature performance. These tools may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies and may process technical usage data. PostHog session replay may record interactions with website interfaces when enabled.
The newsletter area is configured to exclude automatic analytics capture. Custom newsletter events record only non-personal operational details, such as the form location and page path, and do not include the email address or URL query parameters.
You can restrict cookies and similar storage through your browser settings. Doing so may affect certain website features or measurement functions.
8. Data retention
I retain newsletter information while your subscription remains active. After you unsubscribe, marketing emails stop. Brevo or I may retain the minimum suppression record needed to honour your unsubscribe request, prevent accidental resubscription or repeated sending, handle complaints, and comply with applicable obligations. Other information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information; object to certain processing; and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
The quickest way to stop newsletter emails is to use the unsubscribe link in any email. For other requests, contact me at the email address above. I may need to verify your identity before completing a request in order to protect your information.
10. Children's privacy
This website and newsletter are intended for a professional and general adult audience and are not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children as defined by applicable law. If you believe a child has submitted information without appropriate authorisation, contact me so that I can review and delete it where required.
11. Security
I use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including access controls, service-provider security features, and anti-abuse protections, to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when services, technology, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published. If a material change requires new consent under applicable law, I will request it rather than treating an earlier newsletter consent as permission for an unrelated purpose.
